Andrea jay

Andrea is our longest-serving hygienist, having been part of the Castleton team since 2007. She qualified from Birmingham Dental School in 1991 and was awarded the Ash Instruments/Dentsply Prize for Best Clinical Performance in recognition of her outstanding clinical skills.
 
Andrea is a proud member of both the British Society of Dental Hygienists and Therapists (BSDHT) and the British Society of Periodontology (BSP). She is passionate about continuing professional development and regularly attends courses and lectures to stay at the forefront of modern preventive dentistry. More recently, she has particularly enjoyed training in the latest EMS AirFlow® Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) technology, which is now available at Castleton.
 
Known for her gentle, friendly and non-judgemental approach, Andrea enjoys helping patients improve their oral health while making every hygiene appointment as relaxed and comfortable as possible.

Andrea loves helping patients achieve healthier smiles and seeing the positive difference that preventive care can make to their confidence and long-term oral health.

Outside of work, Andrea enjoys staying active.  She also loves being creative through sewing and enjoys spending quality time with her daughter, especially trips to the ballet.

Andrea makes time every week for both a 5K run and a five-minute plank challenge, proving she's just as committed to fitness as she is to helping her patients stay healthy!
