Dr Ulla Morrison CPHG (Copenhagen)Ulla is from Odense, Denmark and has been a general practitioner for 30 years having practised in Denmark, Holland, and the last 20 years in Farnham.
As well as caring for her patients, and keeping up with the latest dental techniques on courses, she spends time with family and friends, enjoys art, cooking and reading.
She tries to keep fit with yoga, walking and biking.
Dr Peter Johnston BDS (Edin), DPDS (Bristol)Peter is from Dumfries and qualified in 1992 from Edinburgh. He moved South after qualification working in 3 practices before joining forces with Ulla and setting up Castleton Dental Practice in March 1998.
In 2000, he obtained a second degree from Bristol providing special interest in root canal therapy (endodontics) and restorative dentistry. This involves fixing the tops of teeth through a variety of methods including crowns and bridges, fillings, implants and dentures. He also studied oral surgery and prosthodontics (dentures and implants).
Peter lives locally with his wife, three children and a border terrier called Doris.
Outside of dentisty, his interests are in his childrens' activities and his own sports, squash and tennis. He also enjoys golf, skiing, cycling to work and a little triathlon (emphasis on little and to be honest, infrequent!)
Jo Hounsham - Practice ManagerJo is from Hartlepool and has been with the practice for nine years. Recently she obtained a diploma in dental practice management.
Her outside interests include yoga, reading and sketching. In her spare time she generously gives time to a charity who organise holidays for the disabled. For 20 years now every August she gives a week of her time to 50 disabled people. She finds this very rewarding and yet exhausting at the same time.
Andrea Jay - Hygienist Andrea is from Redditch, working as a dental nurse for 4 years before training to become a hygienist at Birmingham Dental Hospital. She qualified in 1991, moved to Godalming with her husband and began working at a practice in Guildford where she still works part time. After having her two daughters, she joined Castleton Dental Practice in 2007.
Andrea's hobbies include reading, keeping fit, good food (!) and being a Mum.
Julie Deverick - HygienistJulie is from Newport in South Wales. She joined the Army in 1985 and qualified in 1987 from their Dental Training School in Aldershot Throughout her 22 years of service with the Royal Army Dental Corps she served in the UK, Germany and Canada, finally completing her last 6 years at the Tri-Service School of Dental Hygiene Aldershot as a Dental Hygienist tutor and ultimately as Principal Tutor.
In 2007 she moved to Church Crookham and works in Fleet and Farnham practices. She continually keeps up to date with new dental concepts and provides high quality care in a gentle and friendly way.
Julie is married to a Firefighter and is the proud parent of two children and owner of two cockapoos and a VW campervan!
Joanne Knight - Dental Nurse & Dental Health EducatorJoanne lives in Petersfield where she grew up. She qualified "many years" ago as a dental nurse and dental health educator.
During her "long" service she has covered roles in nursing reception and management.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time spending money at any given opportunity. Joanne also enjoys home life with her husband and cat.
Francesca Stoneman- Dental nurseFrancesca has been a qualified dental nurse since 1974 and has worked in the practice for over 30 years.
In her spare time she enjoys family life and walking with her two dogs.
She also likes theatre, cinema, and exhibitions, and practices her German when visiting friends in Germany.
Lucy Archibald – dental nurse in training/ receptionistLucy is currently working towards qualifying as a dental nurse and you may sometimes see her helping out on reception. She's our youngest member of the team and is enjoying the start of what she hopes to be a long career in dentistry.
Outside of her dental career Lucy lives with her boyfriend in Fleet and likes socialising, seeing her family and dancing around at gigs and music festivals always in a great pair of shoes.
Marie Hobbs (Hygienist)
Marie joined Castleton in 2011 and is from Southampton. She qualified as a dental hygienist/therapist in 2010 from Portsmouth University. Prior to this Marie worked as a dental nurse in both NHS and private practices.
Outside of work Marie is a keen shopper and likes to keep fit at aerobics classes.
